Are you a baker, miller, farmer or other grain user?

The South West Grain Network operates across the South West of England and we welcome people to join us taking active steps into an alternative grain economy.

Are you a farmer keen to grow more heritage grains? A baker who would love to incorporate more local flour into your baking? An aspiring miller who wants to connect with others in the region? Join us now!

What does membership involve?

When you apply to join the network, you will have an induction phone call with our coordinator Robyn to learn more about you and find ways to support and enable you to take action. You will be sent a membership pack and from there you will:

  • Be added to the WhatsApp community and relevant groups

  • Be added to the email list

  • Be kept up to date with upcoming events

Why become a member?

Being part of the network will connect you with others working on an alternative grain economy in the South West. This may be potential customers or suppliers, or peers with whom you can share knowledge and skills.

The South West Grain Network is a transparent member run network. A third of our income to the network has come from the True SW Flour Levy, with a third from other mills paying the same £35/tonne contribution, and the final third made up from a small grant, income from events and one-off/regular donations. This goes to support core running costs and our part-time paid coordinator.

How to join?

We are currently in the process of developing a membership structure to support the ongoing development of the South West Grain Network.

In the meantime, please email our coordinator Robyn on swgrainnetwork@gmail.com and she will be in touch.
